bentbarrel
Evening everyone, Is there anyone out there that knows where to get a new clutch for a magnet from, as ive broke mine. Cheers!
deny essex
Clutch ? if its the wiper motor type there is no clutch , if it seems to be slipping then the nut to the drive shaft must be lose, nip it up a bit. If that doesnt cure it then the splines have been shredded on the motor shaft if so a motor replacement is needed. Quite a lot of them are FORD so worth a check at the breakers yard as it will be much cheaper than a new or repainted one from a yard! bentbarrel
Thanks for the replies, i know there isnt a clutch, my magnets got an 'overdrive' fitted so that when i stop it the motor doesnt just stop dead. Thats the bit that has broken. Cheers.

Mangled99
My mate has a home made magnet and the home made clutch is the rear cog of a push bike so when the motor stops the weight of the pigeons lets it stop slowly and doesn't rip the splines of the shaft.
