Mightymariner
I checked out some spring barley this morning, nothing on it. I was really hoping it would have some on it! Couldn't find any substantial numbers anywhere, but those I did spot were all on rape.

Cranfield
Clover certainly seems their preference in my area at the moment. However, things are a bit behind due to the weather and the second nitrogen is only just going on some of the rape. Once that takes effect, they may be back on it. snarepeg
Got of to a bad start, bent down to push the decoy peg in and the wind blew my glasses off, spent 10 minuits on my hands and kneese feeling for them but no luck so after setting the 12 shells up retired to my hide in the spinney and managed 30, the wind was howling 61 mph recorded and made for some tricky shooting. Going back tomorrow with another pair of glasses and the leaf rake, they were not (looky likey )glasses so about £200 on the deck . john

I would be thinking about leaving the specs where they are..... Andy
snarepeg
Agree to a point Andy but i use them for driving, not a must but helps, but the reading is a ****** hence feeling for them. I had temporarally forgot to remove them having just got out of the PAJ, but lesson learned so now only to remember what happened (but won/t hold my breath on that one.) Still had some nice shooting, managed one treble 2 doubles the rest singles, will admit the first shot on these where sitters(rat shots) but they were not still must have been moving the branches about 4 feet up/down and round the clock. Shot these on maze,ex game crop now chopped up. john
snarepeg
Just been back to the field,2 of us and not a sighn of them anywhere , beginning to think they went up with the wind, recon £7 a bird a bit over the top, but estimated 2/3000 pidgeons on the 4 game strips so having some of the beaters to come up to help cover all 4 over the w/end. john
