Sprinter
I have a couple of guns that require work doing to them which entails some risk of damage in the process. I note that it is possible to insure your guns separately however most of these policies specifically exclude cover while the gun is being repaired or altered. I'm fairly sure this would include cover by my household contents insurance. So does anyone know a company that would offer cover against a specific risk (stock alteration) over a specified time ie the period the gun is out of my possession being worked upon? Mickthemiller
Hi Sprinter I would have thought if you use a reputable repairer they will have their own insurance which covers the gun when in their care Mick the Miller
HDAV
If the work involves risk ( stock cracking etc) I doubt anyone would insure that specific risk Option 1: don't have it done Option 2: take the risk. (work out the cost of the worst case, new stock etc) If your having a pair of purdeys re cast good luck Edited March 20, 2011 by HDAV
