dodeer
My rear BFG tyres are wearing and need replacing in a month or so. I have 4x A/T's fitted. Can i replace the worn ones with mud terrain as long as i keep the size the same will i find any problems?
al4x
If that is the standard size then yes you can, If you want a wider range of tyres and to improve economy a little 245 / 75/ 16 also fit the same rims and are very very close to the same rolling radius. With the higher profile you often find a wider range of off road tyres available and also they can be a fair bit cheaper I have these on my L200 compared to the size you are after that it came with and its spot on
dodeer
Ok thanks. The original tyres were 225 65 r16 but when i went to order the BFG's the garage put them on and didnt mention they had changed sizes, not that im fussed. I might either replace the 2 worn ones with cheapo road tyres now the ground is drying up and at the end of the summer when all the tyres are worn i will replace with smaller size BFG's again. Vermincinerator
If you fit tyres of a different size then the OE size i would reccommend informing your insurance, Should you ever be involved in an accident it could be deemed as grounds not to pay a claim.
