How easy to get ...

Have just been offered a choice of two hatsans in woodland camo. They are both the newer model and both ''as new/excellent condition'' but neither come with the extras, ie. the chokes and shims etc. They are both priced at £285 so I think they are the right price but I would want to pick up the chokes etc.

Has anyone here bought the bits seperate to the gun and if so how much and how easy to get?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Cheers

Edd

PS Is the price about right?

Hmmm how can new/almost new guns be missing chokes? I get shims but not choked, my guess factory reworks of returned guns or ones returned to dealers make sure they have full warranty....(commonly known as graded stock)

They havent been offered to me as ''new'' but as ''as new condition'' if you understand what I mean?

I would be wary unless they have the choke you want in them I looked a lincoln that was MC but only with the ones in the barrel 3/4 & full, i would want 1/4-1/2 and to buy them + key looking at £70-80+ at least with a semi you'd only have to buy 1 minimum

hmmmm http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/156031-chokes-for-a-hatsan/ seems they may be cheaper for the escort. Does seem odd how someone (2 people?) can not have the chokes (even the shims) it's not like its an old gun thats been hanging around for years is it? :hmm:

any RFD with Edgar brothers account should be able to get them for you.

when I bought mine brand new, It came with 2 full chokes and no quarter in the box, typically the one I use most  Called the Edgar Bros dealer I bought it from (Woodland Enterprises, just down the road from Wantage. Highly recommended BTW) and they had a quarter choke in from Edgars 2 days later :good:
