Was down at Manchester Clay Shooting Club yesterday for a practice and found out that they are on the lookout for up to 5 people to be coached by trainee BASC coaches and mentors on Wednesday 30th March.

Details are as follows:

- Need to be there at 9.00am for a 9.30am start.

- Each volunteer will receive two 1/2 hour coaching sessions.

- Refreshments provided throughout the morning.

- Lunch provided after coaching sessions have finished.

- Each volunteer will also receive a BASC goodie bag.

- Approximate finish time is 1.00pm.

This opportunity would ideally suit anyone who is new to shooting, or wants to try shooting for the first time.

Anyone interested should contact Peter Wroe from BASC on: Peter.Wroe@basc.org.uk

I would also like to thank you for the heads up as I have been having Trap lessons but would like to try my hand at sporting and was looking at visiting MCSC so this may be ideal. Although I will be visiting the club in any case :)

Nice one - glad to hear that you got a place :good:

I think that Ainsley off here is also going, along with his mate Rod so you'll have company there for sure.

Now lets get MDK sorted

Just got back from this, it was a good morning and I think it has definitely swayed my decision on which type of shooting I will pursue. It was also good to meet you MDK :good:

I think I will be going back to MCSC soon to try out some of the other stands.

Sorry I have been doing lessons in Trap but I really liked the look of sporting so this gave me the opportunity to sort of try it and also see the grounds. I had a walk round afterwards which gave me a chance to see all the different set-ups and stands which has convinced me that I would definitely like to do more sporting shooting.

Sorry if my post wasn't all that clear. And thanks again for posting this in the first place.
