  1. I have always used a PC, but a few months back a change means I have to use a mac during the day. Personally I don't know why someone would consciously choose to do it :-) In any case, for email I use Mozilla Thunderbird on the PC and the Mac, which also has an import feature which will allow you to keep all your settings and folders etc. Also if you use mail across your devices, you should consider using IMAP (if you don't already) in which case set up you folders at the service provider end and everything will always be the same and synced no matter what device or email app you use.
  2. I have Netflix if you go for it you can use unblockus to get a better catalogue with a bit of setup, but I find I have to switch it on and off for some programmes which are uk only. The stream quality is great though. The problem with films on the UK versions of both is that sky have most of the rights with the studios in the UK.
  3. From all accounts I have heard people generally prefer one or the other because of how they fit as standard. Pretty sure they have different stock shapes so it is likely you would shoot better with one over the other if it naturally mounted well. Of course I could be totally wrong :-)
  4. I can't remember all the names of the top of my head, but you should look at the ones designed for extreme sports and being attached to motorcycle helmets. The best one is probably the Go-Pro (used a lot for TV as well) although it is also the most expensive. There are cheaper options about. Do you have a budget in mind, maybe I could have a look at the ones I was looking at to see if they fit in your price range.
  5. Thanks for this, I had some breasts given to me from doing my first days beating last week and did this with it but using mature cheddar instead of Stiliton and it was bloody lovely. The first time my wife has had Pheasant and she loved it so much she wants it for xmas now. Thanks again. Stuffed Pheasant breast wrapped in Bacon. by XD2net, on Flickr
  6. I have for sale 2 HP Monitors, they are in great condition and really nice clear screens. I will provide links to the HP product page for each below. They both have built in speakers and come with: Power Cable USB Extension Cable Speaker Cable I can also provide a VGA, HDMI or DVI cable with each monitor just let me know your preferred input (the W2207H doesn't have DVI input). HP W2207H: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c01182749 HP 2229H: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c01848460&product=3945542 They really are great monitors and I would personally keep them but according to the wife 5 monitors and only 2 computers is overkill. I would like £90each will consider offers on both. Pick-up (From Tameside, SK15) preferred as they are a weighty item to post (Could possibly deliver locally). If you want to see them working when you pick them up that can be arranged no problem. They are listed on another forum also. Thanks for looking. learner on a 125cc

If you do the CBT you can ride the 125 with L plates on if you don't pass your Restricted Access or Direct Access within 2 years you have to do the CBT again. The Motorcycle Provisional Entitlement is nearly always put on your licence anyway, but do check.

  9. Sorry for the delay I had to ring him to get it, the firm was Sandersons in Colchester, Essex (http://www.sandersons.co.uk/) not sure if that is local enough for most of you. I confirmed what he got, and they gave him a free consultation and told him if the idea was viable or not. They then offered to manage the whole submission for a fee, but also told him exactly how to do it himself for just the IPO costs. So I was slightly wrong above, but still free professional advice is always a bonus. He did just say it was definitely worth his time for the advice he got. Hope it helps.
  10. That video is amazing, I thought about doing time-lapse with my DSLR but after seeing that I won't bother as I will never think it looks good now :-)
  11. My Dad put in a patent for an idea he had late last year and he found a solicitor who specialised in patents, they offered free consultation and submitted the paper work for him as part of that free consultation, he just paid the IPO fee. They do it on the basis they will get paid work at later stages, but it is a great way to get free professional advice.

    Home Insurance!!

My insurance covers all items under £1500 also without listing them and as my gun isn't worth more than that this is why I didn't mention it, the same as I didn't individually mention all the TV's in my house worth less. I didn't really think of it being a problem to be honest. I haven't noticed anything in the T&C's that state firearms etc. I am also covered for off the property, so I presumed I am allright, but I might re-read the info.

    Home Insurance!!

I haven't mentioned it to mine, although one question that also brought the premium down was "Do you have a lockable safe in your property?" to which I replied yes
  14. I was there again today also, first time in a while doing a round on my own, really enjoyed the changes on some of the stands. Strange to think how many people from here I must unknowingly walk past when out :-)
  15. Churchill was doing the same to my father-in-law for years until I told him I could get it him cheaper. Then they dropped the price by about 40% for him to keep him on board. At the end of the day all they care about is the money they can get, they couldn't care less what you actually need or can afford.

    walking dead

I really enjoy watching it although I do feel sometimes they get a bit caught up in the emotional aspects of the characters and forget its about zombies. You know you are doing something wrong when you go a whole episode and everyone is still alive at the end

Fridays 10PM from Feb 17th it is the seoncd half of Season 2 Edit: FXUK Website confirms this on homepage :-)
  19. If you only intend it for one basic website then you will probably get by with the 123 Reg package, I run my own so have no experience with them, but have noticed a lot of companies now are advertising unlimited features but throttling something else to keep you in check. As I say though for a small basic website it probably won't matter. Most places will offer similar packages at similar prices, at least if you keep it in the same place as the domain its easy to manage in one control panel. If you search you will find some companies that offer free hosting, a lot require ads on it though, we did offer free Ad Free hosting but very limited like a trial package. One thing to bear in mind is that the servers the hosting is on are UK based, which rules out 1and1 internet because they are not. Only reason I mention this, because this is a factor in search engines now. Hope that helps.

  21. Making money online isn't as easy as it used to be and as a lot of people have said, selling a product is hard work and there is nearly always competition, so what I find best is selling advertising space or in some cases selling the product for someone else so I don't have to stock it. My advice to anyone starting up would be choose a subject you like/know something about, set up a site (use wordpress it's free) and just write about your subject. As your traffic builds so does the value of your site and advertising. Once you get established you can then sell advertising space directly to companies, until then you can use Ad Networks for a small income (will usually cover your domain costs at least). Regarding selling products for other people some Affiliate Networks and Programs offer you up to 20% of the product price in commission (though most mainstream products are only 4 or 5%) so if you are very targeted with your subject and can sell this it is very good money with no overhead or stock holding. Regarding the Adult sector, the same goes the easier money is in affiliate revenue the same as above, the sector also pays up to 50% of the recurring income, but keep in mind it is fiercely competitive and most people actually move into mainstream for this reason. Been doing this for over 9 years and there are many things you can do and it is by no means a get rich quick scheme, but it can work and I know a few other people who make good money doing it.
  22. This whole post was excellent advice and I use a lot of the software myself, I also use cCleaner which does a great job. In case there is any interest in free alternatives, there is a free Image Editing program called GIMP which is a free Adobe Photoshop Alternative. Might help someone.
  23. I think it is great when companies do things like this, I try to help out local charities and projects where I can (although I could probably still do more). I normally use the Hull Comp-X they are great Cartridges, although I had to use an alternative today and really felt it.
  24. I was there again today putting in my first scored card for the 100 round (By the way what happened to the how well did we shoot today threads?) I enjoyed the stands but not sure who's idea it was to put a pheasant standing in the firing line on stand 10 (that was one brave bird) :-)
  25. I was a bit shocked when he said BASC supported it but was relieved to read above this is not the case, maybe this should be rectified on the BBC page though to make clear to other listeners.
