ROBLATCH
placing a post on here on behalf of a freind who aint a member. he has for sale a black lab dog trained to the gun by a well known north east gundog trainer. I have seen the dog and shot over him with pleasure BUT he does seem a little nervous which confuses me. The sale of the dog is typical as the couple are expecting their first bay in 6wks time. To be honest i am not a lab man and stick to my cockers although i did own a lab some time ago and wanted something a little more challenging, otherwise i would snap him up myself. for more details on the dog please pm me and i will forward the details on to you of the seller so you can then make direct contact with him. he has asked me to advertise for £350. the dog is kc reg and comes with a five gen pedigree along with hip/eye score. please pm for details. pavman
Excuse me for asking the silly question but why get rid of the dog on the birth of a child, surely people plan to have a dog for its life and look at their situation over the next say ten years plus befor they decide to get one (or any other pet for that matter)or is it me
malantone
Excuse me for asking the silly question but why get rid of the dog on the birth of a child, surely people plan to have a dog for its life and look at their situation over the next say ten years plus befor they decide to get one (or any other pet for that matter)or is it me  some people are frightened the dog will get jealous and attack the baby if left for a moment, I would say buy a kennel, the bloke obviously shoots as the dog is trained, maybe the wife is chief. I agree with you that they should have discussed their future before buying a dog, but who knows maybe they couldn`t have kids and then ????????? GarethR
Common sense says that most couples would put having a child as priority before any pet. Perhaps he had the dog prior to meeting his missus or perhaps it would be too costly to have both, either way it's got sweet FA to do with us and Rob is just selling it for his pal! Let's not quiz or question why eh? Best of luck with the sale Rob, you still got that Hushpower? G
al4x
Its an excuse rather than a need, if he wanted to keep the dog he would. As it is hopefully someone will get an ok dog. I don't understand it like you Pav but to some they are a consumable
ROBLATCH
Rather than ask me why he is selling the dog ask me for his contact details and maybe he will explain better. To put it plain it is the dog i am doing the favour by hoping he goes to a good home and not the owner. as i mentioned if you want contact details i will pm you them.
