Simon123
I'm thinking on getting a sling for my synthetic Hatsan Escort, just as it'll be easier and more comfortable to carry around when hunting. Is is possible to put one onto a Escort??? Has anybody on here put onto theirs??? What sort of price should i be looking at to pay for a decent sling and for it to be fitted??? Which make of sling should i be looking for??? My nearest gun shop sell's 'Butler Creek Easy Rider Sling' and 'Butler Creek Quick Carry Sling', are these any good??? saxosim
You should be easily able to put swivels and a sling on your Hatson. My mate has a Hatson in the Camo finish and drilled the fore end plug and fitted a swivel and then did the same on the stock. I would recommend an uncle mikes quick release kit so you can quickly remove the sling when not required and a 1" sling. The swivels are a simple diy fit if you have a drill, take your time though and don't rush it measure twice drill once! Slings are to individual tastes and prices from a tenner upwards, best have a look around in a gun shop to see what you like. bullet boy
The best sling available today IMO is the Quake Claw Sling which I bought from Gamefayre.co.uk.

I've changed 3 slings on my rifles so far, and replaced them with the 'Quake' ones.
spiceychilli57
If i had a pound coin for every time soembody has asked me about mine... i have a slip on type that doesnt require any drilling into the woodwork, ring goes under screw thread **** thingy on valve on one end and neoprene with pad goes around end of stock. It was about £25 i think. If you search for beretta auto sling it should come up somewhere, will find it in a minute. Really good as i really didnt want to drill into my 'extra wood' bling found it sling wow its gone up since i got mine! still worth it for not drilling holes Edited May 1, 2011 by spiceychilli57
Simon123
Ok, i've been talking to my local RDF and he said that i would need to get a new end cap with swivel loop on at a price of £16. Is this really necessary??? As i see this being quite expensive :hmm:
