Toombsy
Hello all, I'm after an air pistol for general plinking, and the one that I've got my eye on is a Weihrauch HW40. I've had a couple of HW rifles in the past and they've never let me down, hence the decision. Anyway, there's a much cheaper copy on the market - the Beeman 204. Have any of you tried or owned the Beeman copy? If so, is it any good? Thanks in advance
pabs
I'm pretty sure the Beeman is in fact a HW, just rebranded for the American market.

HEAD SHOT NO1
Think its chinese copy but imported by Beeman who also imports the HW most likely a very good copy if beemans names on it saying that were in UK and im talking about USA Beeman so ours might be poo,US beeman imports the feiwerjabaus and all the HWs and best Air rifles/pistols,think there like the top importer. To be fair I wouldnt shell out £200 on HW40 you could get a race tuned BB guns that are used in competition and or the pcp falcon fn8 or brocock aimX would be well worth the extra bit £240-300 ish. Trust me ive shot alot of pistols and theres better at the price tag of the HW40 especially the Rohm!!! that just come to mind it is around £200 for basic to £300-400 for competition version,be sure decide on the co2 or pcp tube as there a expensive optional extra.all competition grips and rails are a direct fit for the Rohm basic. To be fair them £20-30 copies of the HW40 are accurate and reliable they just have a tendency to snap the wood I would just buy one of them for a plinker and spend the other £170 on a Rohm twin master if I was getting serious... LOL I thought it was HW45 and just seen it,yes the Beeman is a good version of this I have owned it,this are single stroke ponumatics and power is low but consistent.Ive not owned the HW40 but I have owned that Beeman and you only get seal failure which is always ecpected on a single stroke ponumatic. Didnt know HW40 was the same, ignore my £20-30 version that was HW45 I was refering to,think sportsman gun centre got them very cheap (you owe me a beer for that ;-) ) If you still insist on the HW40 go get the Rohm twin master basic, competition pistol, get the pcp not co2 version. As for what I was saying about Beeman USA,they re brand HWs to Beeman over there so this could well be a HW but they also re brand good chinese stuff to beeman.cant say about UK as there not popular, very popular in US as there main importer Edited May 3, 2011 by HEAD SHOT NO1

Clubshot
I am thinking of a umerax 586 accurate and don't have to reload after every shot Use them in IPAS Speed Plate Shooting Even on a hot day these are less than 2FP - more speed than power BOB/R http://www.practicalpistoluk.com
