browning cynergy

Hello All, Last weekend I was out shooting some clays and got chatting to a bloke who told me that his mate had just bought a Browning Cynergy. According to his friend the Cynergy has a lot less recoil than the O/U he had before.

At present I'm shooting an auto due to health problems that are aggrivated by recoil but would love to go back to an O/U. I have tried 21g carts before with an O/U and although the recoil was ok my shooting went down hill and so I went back to 28g carts with the auto.

So I was wondering if anyone else has noticed reduced recoil with the Cynergy?

I bought mine just for that reason, broke both my shoulders 10 years ago and the gun I had was making me hurt.I tried the cynergy and never looked back!!! With 21g in it you might as well be shooting a .410 its brill! I use 28g in mine no problem at all!

There is a difference between the wood and the synthetic believe it or not,I tried the wood one and found it kicked harder than my black ice.

Ive never looked back, a friend whose shoulder is prone to dislocation has just bought one too and she loves it.See if you can try one, you'll not be sorry :good:

I have just bought a Browning Cynergy Pro Sport in 20 gauge. This shotgun is without question one of the best handling and pointable( 30" barrels) guns that I have shot. The perceived recoil is virtually negligible. It mounts very smoothly into the shoulder and swings onto the target without much effort. It is beautifully built and looks modern in design but very elegant. The only slight criticism that I have is that the trigger pull is a tad heavy with a bit of creep. I am sure that my gunsmith will be able to improve the quality of the trigger pulls. The engraving also on the action is also a bit modern for my taste but it is slowly growing on me. The gun comes with a set of excellent extended chokes, two additional triggers, a high viz bead and a quality Negrini case with two locks. I have shot the 12 gauge which is a very good gun but the Cynergy in 20 gauge is absolutely outstanding.

Yeah, try the black ice but the 30 inch is better balanced than the 32. The 32 is very front heavy.

I really want one! but out my range for now. If you find somewhere to try one let me know there a couple of browning try gun days coming up, one in Swindon IIRC.

Hi all, Just a quick update. I've now had the oppertunity to try a couple of cynergy's out the first was early composite model with 2 3/4 chambers 30 inch barrels and the second had a wooden stock with 30 inch barrels. Both guns IMO handled good and now all i need to do is find one thats cheaper than a grand :hmm: so if anyone knows of one for sale please let me know.

steve,

Avalon Guns have a 20g sporter wooden stock priced at £995 in stock just now. Google and search their gun shop stock.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm looking for a 12g as I bulk buy carts with some mates

Did you notice a difference between the wood stock and the synthetic? You wont regret it they are great guns!! :good:

I didn't notice a difference between the wood and the synthetic but I do like the way you can adjust the stock on the synthetic models.
