WelshLamb Posted May 9, 2011 Report Share Posted May 9, 2011 After buying my first gun a few weeks ago, today I finally got a day off work and had time for a shooting lesson at my local sporting ground, Treetops Sporting Ground, Newport. I had a 25 bird intro/taster lesson with Andrew Groombridge - what a top bloke!! Turns out my stance had been completely wrong the whole time, so we spent a bit of time working on that, and gun etiquette and safety. I was quite pleased that I managed to hit more birds than I missed, I think I managed to hit about 20 out of 25 Andrew said I was a natural! No, Foxbuster is from Llandeilo I know your from Pontypool as it says so under your name Have you shot at South Wales 2000 then, not very far for you to travel? Simon123 Posted May 11, 2011 Report Share Posted May 11, 2011 Llandysul and Carmarthen gun clubs are good ones. I remember the competition Llandysul gun club done last year like it was yesterday. It was my first proper time using a 12b and my first time on the clays :lol: (I know and thinking it was a competition), surprisingly i shot better than my dad and he's been shooting for over 25 years.
