Gordon R
A very good friend of mine has asked for some advice. An elderly friend of his has recently died and he has been asked to dispose of the guns. They are currently on the deceased man's daughter's ticket. They are:- A Midland non ejector side by side, with sleeved barrels. There are a couple on GT so value isn't too hard. The second is a BRNO over and under with two sets of barrels. One is Skeet - 26" with muzzles brakes and the second - trap 30" barrels. I remember the gun from about 25 years ago - there was play in the action then. I can't find a single one for sale. Any idea of value? Edited May 10, 2011 by Gordon R
BlaserF3
Hello Godon, I remember those BRNO's with two sets of barrels, I think they were about £300 new, Baikal's were around £150 at the same time. There was a side lock s/s on sale by BRNO around the same time, I think they were about £250, there are some for sale on Guntrader. I should imagine it might make about £250/£300 now I have no idea where to find spares though, maybe a CZ dealer might find some.
Gordon R
Hi Mike - I can remember Roy having the BRNO and I fancied it at the time. They were ugly but quirky. I toyed with the idea of buying it myself and getting the action tightened up. They had an odd hinging mechanism from memory - I don't know the likely cost of repair. It might be an uneconomic repair.

Trade money to put a Brono back on the face and tight is £70.00 ish and not a hammer in sight!!!! if you end up with the gun Gordon give me a call Regards Dennis
UKPoacher
A BRNO 26" muzzle brake O/U flew off the Guntrader shelf at around £600 last year. A dealer in Derby if I recall. I'd estimate the twin barrel outfit going for nearer £1,000 in good condition.
