ian_in_the_midlands
I am looking at binoculars too. From reviews the MINOX BL 8x44 BR look favorite but yet to look through a pair. Also want to look through Nikon Monarch ATB, Opticron, Vortex and Hawke before making a decision. What is making you go for the Steiner 8 x 42 Pro Ranger over other binoculars in a similar price range? Glenshooter
I have two pairs of these binos and think they're excellent. Can't give a comparative opinion thought.
gixer1
I mentioned on here before - I think the steiners are excellent, to the point where I picked up a set at a game fair and thought they were better feeling and viewing than EL's! I also rate barska, they are a bit cheaper but I've had a set for years and they have stood up well. I would like to hear how the steiners perform in low light/dusk conditions. Regards, Gixer
Benellimelody
I am looking at binoculars too. From reviews the MINOX BL 8x44 BR look favorite but yet to look through a pair. Also want to look through Nikon Monarch ATB, Opticron, Vortex and Hawke before making a decision. What is making you go for the Steiner 8 x 42 Pro Ranger over other binoculars in a similar price range? Thanks Ian. I have heard some good stuff about steiner and read a lot of reviews on similar priced binos and feel these seem to fit the bill and are a quality bino. I just wanted to ask on as well to get some more feedback and so far all looks good.
