Gnome of the Woods
As per title, I was just wondering what peoples cleaning regimes were on their shotguns? I imagine the answers will be the same as air rifles, from almost a complete strip down after every use too waving an oily rag at it once a year! More specifically what order you do things if you are doing things "buy the book" Thanks, Paul
39TDS
I don't think I have cleaned my shotgun in the last 30 years. Still works just the same. Admittedly it didn't cost much and isn't worth much either but it han't suffered from lack of cleaning.
stubby
show both my rimfire and shotty an oily rag now and again, although the last time was probably 2010
twitchynik
When I can be bothered or not back home from the shoot half cut... Tends to be all or nothing. Only exception would after rain - definitely gets a good clean then.
cockercas
Shot gun gets cleaned every time its used. .22 just gets wiped with an oily rag every so often. .243. Just sprayed some bore cleaner down the barrel and put a patch down it after 100 shots
