Thestoat
A good find Lee, I saw these and nearly bought them. The postage is really expensive at £4 for the first spike and £2.50 for each additional one. Good for people in kent who can collect when passing, but for me this would push the price of a set of homemade poles to £33.50. £21.50 for the spikes. UKPoacher
Look around fishing shops and the shops that sell cheap hardware for these things. You'll get them for £2.50 if you look around.

steve_b_wales
There are 32mm spikes for line poles, advertised on Ebay @ £3.85 inc pp. Not sure how good they are though. Item # 270749475705 Steve.
Cosd
£33 for these, with washing line poles they will be heavy and cumbersome , get a set of £40 poles with kick plates will do a better job, lighter and more compact. Honestly it's a no brainer for £7 more. Edited May 29, 2011 by Cosd
steve_b_wales
The spikes that I quoted earlier, together with washing line poles (4) would only cost a total of £23.40.
semiautolee
i found these in asda today STEEL TENT PEGS so i bought them (hopeing they will do the job) for a bit of diy on the bottom of my hide poles! they are not heavy at all and hopefully will do the job nicely i need to get some bolts and locking nuts before i can start, they are curved over on the tops and they will act as a little bit of a foot plate. i will need to use 2 for each pole, you get 8 in the box and they are 9'' long and quite strong aswell. (also some rope and a rubber mallet) here are some pics iv used an elastic band to show you what the finished job should look like when i get round to it this week hopefully. I bought some hide polls 40 quid for four then i seen washing line polls in b&m bargings 1.99 each so i bought two just to try there a lot stronger than the proper ones i put a spike on the bottom and put a 8mm bolt through it the bolt is 50mm long so its a good foo t peg I'm going to get another four now ther great
