Bazooka Joe
I bet that title caught the ballistic freaks out..... Come across a few bits of materials today, (1st Photo) decided to make a different styled Priest. Cut a 1" square length, aprox 9" long, out of the block of Solid Oak in the first photo, turned it on the lathe till I had the required shape. Then cut a length of Stainless Pipe about an 1" long, fitted it to the turned Oak, nice tight fit, a bit of epoxy for good measure. Back to the lathe, drilled a hole the same as the dia of the 243 case, (which I've filled with lead), the same at the other end to take the 223 case, (minus the lead), I used epoxy to fit them both in place, then drilled a hole for the Leather Landyard. All Walnut Stained & Polished up, the grain on the Oak came up lovely, the picture doesn't reflect the detail enough. The two Brass Cases Buffered, + the Stainless Collar, then all the Wood had a touch of Wax Polish. BJ.
