roypittman
I have a problem with foxes as I keep small animals, I used to dispatch them (the foxes) with my 410 but I have been told that if it is not a 'clean kill' I can get prosecuted. I have not shot one since then for fear of a Policeman leaping out of the hedge with a notepad. I am a reasonable shot and 80% are clean, but sometimes...... Any advice gratefully received. roypittman
I have a Browing 12 gauge but prefer to use the .410 as is moderated, (better for noise control, which means not so many lights come on in the nearby housing estate, and less subseqent blues and twos). Axe
According to tried and tested methods you need a 12 bore with at least 36grams of BB running on a half choke or better. 80% is not nearly good enough for my conscience, clean kills only! Best advice, get someone in with the tools for the job and leave it to them to sort out for you. A well placed rifle shot will do the trick. digger
if they are urban they will scavenge = cage trap = nice and close with the .
Cranfield
Would a 12 gauge Hushpower be quiet enough ? The cage trap is the best way to go, if you can set it up out of sight of prying eyes.
