garden gun
Tommy, See other pellet threads - there are pellet trial packs available were you get a selection of pellets to try. You select what you (and your rifle) are happiest with and then buy whole tins. We swear by RWS pellets as recommended by our RFD, but you pays YOUR money and it is YOUR choice. Clubshot
As Break Action try some around 14.00 Grains - Heavier ones will fall out of Barrel My HW90 Run's well on Defiant 5.52's @ 14.00 Grains Domed Head - Lead Pellets BOB/R
garden gun
Sounds like RWS may work well at 14.5 gr.

UKPoacher
All the top target shooters use JSB pellets in one form or another. They make pellets for Air Arms, Daystate and many others. You can get them in various weights and head sizes to suit your rifle and I've never had a rifle yet that isn't more accurate with JSB Exact than any other pellet. jason airarms tx
And what benefit is that exactly? well they would be good in a legal 12 ft/lb limit rifle as endorsed by airgun shooter and air gun world magazine, also drapers in nottm sell a lot of them so there must be a go on them.me mate dropped a bunny at 50 yds the other day and they didnt over penetrate ,the rabbits skull was bulging though ,but like he says he doesnt eat the bunny s head so not to worry..in his pro sport(non-fac) they are spot on .me ill stick with me accupells Edited June 12, 2011 by jason airarms tx

They give rave reviews for one month then you hear nothing about them ever again unless they really are a good product. If you Google Thunderbolt pellets you'll find a load of interest when they were first launched (incidentally almost all the threads were started by Clubshot who works for the makers and stalks virtually every gun forum placing free adverts for them ) then virtually nothing. Check back on here for the poll on pellets and Thunderbolts didn't get off the starting block. Remember, a lightweight pellet is only accurate in still conditions. How many still days do we get? And, a hard pellet only kills if it hits a vital organ. The head is not a vital organ. A hard pellet can zip through the head and not kill the rabbit. A soft pellet such as a JSB Exact or AA Field is far more likely to kill in these circumstances as every bit of energy in the pellet is felt by the quarry. If I want to split fence posts I'll buy Thunderbolts, but personally I use pellets for hunting not as a masturbation aid.
