markm
Only had experience of fixed mag pecar. The quality is very good and if it's a bargain grab it. Not made any more but that don't matter. Edited June 10, 2011 by markm

TGBMAverick
hi guys, ive been looking for a scope to put onto a .222 ,when i get my licence back, and ive just been offered a pecar 4-10x45, just wondering if anyone can tell me abit about them etc If you are looking for some history of Pecar Scopes then this site has some interesting bits: http://www.eaglehurstsporting.com/?page_id=234 The Pecar 4-10 x 45 was the scope chosen by the Home Office for the Enfield Enforcer rifle built for the UK Police. How much are you being asked for the scope? Some do question the eye relief - getting too close with a 7.62 round going off can give you the "Pecar Kiss" but I have personally never had any problems with mine and find them to be very consistent and accurate (I have two with different reticules). One thing to be aware of, the Pecar scopes can come in two tube sizes 25mm or 26mm so make sure you get the correct size rings.
