pull-bang-miss
Hi all, Im after a bipod but really dont fancy shelling out £60+ on one. Ive seen the cheap sort on e-bay, are these any good or am i best just biting the bullet and buying either a deben or a harris? Thanks
Dekers
Right, get a Swivel version or don't bother getting one at all, and if you are not sure about size get a 9-13 if you intend PRONE only or about a 12-25 if you want prone/sit/kneel and the crops are getting higher... if you want more then consider sticks.... If you are a committed shooter bite the bullet and get a Harris, if this is a whim or maybe a passing phase, then frankly just get the cheapest you can find. ATB! dan-250
I have a UTG thing from jsrammsbottoms it's quite good, keeps steady but is limited for movement. But it's fine for targeting and the odd few bunnies. It Also looks pretty good as it doesn't have springs all over, an look like a motorbike centre stand Edited June 12, 2011 by dan-
pull-bang-miss
Does the UTG one swivel? I see it has a 'panning' feature, is that the same thing?
dan-250
It's turns a little either way if that's what you mean, so say on a clock 5 to - 5 past. If you loosen the bottom bolt a tad as it comes nipped up but has an o run there which keeps the tension and not to easy to move and flap about. I can get some pics of mine if you like ? sixhills 69
I have bought 2 of the fleabay both are 9 to 13inchs and tilt from side to side which helps wth unlevel ground i have never seen one that has a panning system unless attached to a vehicle and the rifle is on a pole. the ones i have all i have done is filed the locking bolt which clamps it down so like i say i have files it to a dull point to sit better in the smal hole for it ti match into and it stops the thin bolt wavering off so gives it a better locking to the gun apart from that i have no compaints and for under £27 delivered not bad i have one on my centerfire and one on my Hmr so they get lots of use.
