Dunkield
How was the Sussex area drink up at the weekend then lads? Any stories / pictures?
Axe
Actually Stuart it was event free, if you know what I mean, Sussex Lad was on his best behaviour. Turned out to be a very good afternoon/evening full of stories from the field, gun talk, fine ale and finished on a fantastic curry. It was just a shame that we didnt get the turn out we hoped, it was a great day and all would have enjoyed it. But no problem, we will be hosting another one very soon. Dunkield
Drink, curry and hunting stories, that's my kinda do It's been tried before, unsuccessfully, but why don't we try and get one sorted in bit more of a central location? I am not volunteering BTW

I am not volunteering BTW I think the fairest way to do it is to get a few locations and hold a vote in the "meet up" forum. However if you sugest a venue or vote for a venue then you bloody well turn up. None of this "I'll turn up, promise" and then not show! You won't please all the people all the time but majority rules. Fair?
Dunkield
Public transport is the key, if it isn't near anywhere easy to get to, no one will show... Did you go Snakey? your 'mates' were indicating you are bit of a blowout merchant Edited April 11, 2006 by stuartp
SNAKEBITE
Did you go Snakey? your 'mates' were indicating you are bit of a blowout merchant I didn't go but there again I never said I was going! Basically I'm too tight Why spend £2.50 0n a pint when I brew it for about 22p a pint! It might not be as good as Harveys but Harevys is not 10 times better! No its 20 times better. Stuart the location was fine and easy to get too for anyone with access to the mainline stations. It is a favoured location as it has a tremendous amount of pubs varying from modern to original Inns all soaked in atmosphere and history. The township has old fashioned values which helps to keep the peace when talking about our sport right. Whats more it is a very scenic little town and the ale is superb. Its a tradition of ours to do Lewes, one that even Snakebite used to attend. I'm sure we have pictures to prove it. We have another one planned for May 13th, i'll try and get some pics of the town and its many Ale Houses.
SNAKEBITE
To be honest AXE you might get a better response if you do hold a vote for the location. Now I love Lewes and infact would vote for it if I was in the position to attend BUT in view of the last two Lewes outings attracting one extra member can you see where I'm coming from? Just a sugestion

Axe
SNAKEBITE, i'm all in favour of a proper PW meet but since the real purpose of the last Lewes trip was to celebrate Brians birthday, it wasnt really an open discussion thing. We know of other members that would have turned up but already had plans and one was on holiday. So what about a London trip then boys?
