well this morning i was woken up by a strange noise coming from down stairs so i crept down to find it coming from the living room, so i slowly eased the door open to find.......a jackdaw had come down the chimney and was flying around the room knocking things off the walls and repeatedly crashing into the window trying to escape . I got my protective gloves on and caught the ****** then let him go because it was hardly sporting and it was too early to be ringing necks. anyway i don't think he will be coming back to the chimney in a hurry ??????

Nice one!

Reminds me of something..

My mum heard a funny noise in the chimney whilst abed one morning and thought little of it. In the afternoon of that day she thought to light the box fire in the front room. Upon opening the door of the fire, out shot a sooty squirrel !

It belted around the room leaving black marks up the newly decorated walls until she let it out of the front door. What was amazing was that the sooty claw marks were 3' up the wall, like it was doing a "wall of death" ride around the living room.

It had been in there from 7am until 3pm with Mum hoovering around the fire and everything.
