old rooster
Went out with my oppo t'other afternoon to shoot a field of newly drilled beans. Picked up 77 between us. Went back on my own during the week and had a nice little 50 bag. Birds came from way off in the distance in little bunches and singles. Enjoyable afternoons without being massive bags. Haven't seen many about apart from that, drilling seems to be very poor on the whole in this area. We'll be putting in a few days early next week and have decided to travel a bit if necessary so if anyone needs a couple of safe, steady guns to help out feel free to get in touch. All the best, Rooster
Lord Geordie
I think the farmers have used a different drilling technique this year and put em deeper and creates less waste too LG
invector
I'm still getting reasonable bags on rape, and I'm waiting for the lupins to go in.
iamspartacus
they have hardly been on the drillings on my permission at all, i think the farmer is far too consciencious, not enough spillage!!
