Markio
I'm getting bored of the litepipes on my maxus coming loose and trying to fall out so i'm thinking of a simple screw in bead as a replacement. Just in case you're wondering it seems that the Maxus comes with the Hi Viz tricomp bead as standard. I've found buckets loads of simple standard looking beads (i think on Midway UK, can't post a link because the site is blocked at work) but there are lots of different thread types. Anyone know what thread is on the Maxus? Cheers in advance!
oscarsdad
Mine keep coming loose as well-I am thinking if glueing it in carefully. I have loads spare that are unused from work so if I mess it up it doesnt really matter ( let me know if you need a spare one)
Markio
I did think of a dab of glue but i'm not keen on the idea, a simple bead replacement means at some point in the future i can return to the old setup without any fuss. You have PM inbound re: spares.
Evil Elvis
Is it the bit that holds the lightpipe? i have to thread lock minie in place on the cynergy :look:
Evil Elvis
If its the mount that holds the light pipe, take it off and bend it very slightly, try the light pipes in it and bend again until its tight.
Simon123
Try some lock tight mate. Im thinking on getting one of these for my Hatsan as i like the beads and as i shoot in dark conditions (much of the time) so would be easy to shoot and better than the normal bead ;) , Hope mine sticks
Markio
The mount itself is fine. It's the plastic pipe itself that has such a weedy 'lock' into the notch of the mount. It doesn't take much to shift it about and the pipe wants to drop out. Midway UK looks favourite, once i figure out the 101 thread pitch options. Markio
OK, think i've found, it's M3x0.5. The data was from a TruGlo bead chart. The PDF has the thread type for all sorts of gun. I've tried to attach it here so hope that attachment works. EDIT: Nope, too big. Here's a download link from a file hosting site: >>CLICKY<< Edited July 6, 2011 by Markio
