gallant Posted July 7, 2011 Report Share Posted July 7, 2011 had feo visit for my fac, i have a named permission signed by farmer,checked and cleared, ok, one of my refferes is a shooter and has lots of land to shoot on, i asked feo if i will be able to shoot on his land he said yes as long as he has permission,im confused i thought i can only shoot on named land, hope this makes sense cheers. Therefore so long as the calibre of rifle you will be shooting does not exceed what the land is passed for,then you can shoot there so long as your mate is with you. As suggested, referees get checked and your FEO will likely know if your referee has an Open ticket or not. If he doesn't (as your FEO may well know) then the only land he can shoot on will be cleared, so you can as well if you have consent! eccles Posted July 8, 2011 Report Share Posted July 8, 2011 Hi Gallant if u got cert with just land with permission with checked by chief officer i think u need to submit forms- firearms for use on land forms, if you are with your mate i think u ok.your records with police data will only show land checked for u.With open cert its up to cert holder to make sure of safe back drops etc .Dont give them any chance to revoke your cert.Hope this helps but i might be wrong.
