bsamatt
Hi all, Can someone tell me if its worth spending the extra few bob on getting a 30mm scope over a 25mm, what are the advantages of the bigger one?? i'm looking for a schmidt and bender 8x56, and just trying to save abit but wasn't sure if i should go for the 25mm? thanks all matt

TaxiDriver
Supposedly the larger tube allows more light to pass, So, should be a bit clearer/brighter ? Edited to add : That, coupled with a larger Objective lens to gather more light Edited July 28, 2011 by TaxiDriver
foggy11
Apperantely that is a complete falasie.... The objective lens is what makes the differance. The only advantage to 30 mm over 25 mm is that there is more adjustment range.. I think i read this on the leopold site or maybe schmit and bender...Any way thats what they say.. And i can believe it having looked through quite a few at dusk..

Most of the time we just dont use the adjustment range anyway. A
