Piebob
Hi guys I'm I right in saying that canada geese cannot be shot all year round in Wales. Thankyou No, you're not right mate. They are on some of the general licences, but not all. They can be controlled to prevent crop damage, preserve air safety and to conserve other wild birds. But they have not been added to the general licence to preserve public health and safety.
.philmypower.
So would I be within the law shooting Canada's on a river where I have permission, the closest crop fields are 1/2 mile away?
.philmypower.
Is there anyone who could answer this for me as I'm still unsure. Thank you
TopDown
It depends on whether there is damage to the crop from them. Familiarise yourself with the general licence and your questions shall be answered.

Teal
From your description I would say that it probably would not satisfy the conditions of the General Licence. September is not far away now, which is when the normal shooting season opens for them.
Scully
Is there anyone who could answer this for me as I'm still unsure. Thank you Why don't you just ring your shooting organisation and ask?
