big simmo999
Fantastic days shooting yesterday - 43 birds started off a bit hetic, but then they came into the pattern (especially after re-locating the rotary) in ones and twos all day long - well up till tea time then it all went quiet Lovely sunny day, a fair wind - perfect Get out and find those birds boys

big simmo999
not to bad - I did just over 4 boxes. I think that if Jim Albone or somebody who is a good shot had been there they would maybe have had a red letter day

big simmo999
What i do is pick a route (from the lists) but you need to allow plenty of watching time at each location. then drive round, park the car up and the have a cup off coffee whilst scanning the area for birds, flightlines etc. you need at least 45 mins in each location - even if it's blue with birds to start with. If there are a lot of birds at first - watch for 10 mins then walk up to where they are feeding. When they fly off have a look at your watch, see where fly to and go back to the car and see how long it is before (or if!) they come back. If they don't come back they have landed somewhere else and unless they are spooked they will feed there all day. Now it's getting warmer and the days longer the birds start to split up - hopefully into 2's and 3's and so they travel about a bit more - when you shoot you don't send loads of birds off - never to see them again. Keep searching
