conor Posted August 16, 2011 Report Share Posted August 16, 2011 Hi chaps, iam thinking of lifting my pajero up do i get a lifthing kit or use the torsion bars has anyone done this before and how high do they go up friend of mine lifted a pajero lately, got some 4" spacers made up, just some 40mm stainless solid tube and drilled center for bolt. he also adjusted the torsion bar on the front, bit of messing with water pipes and trimmed the fan a bit. got 35" tyres under it. conor Posted August 16, 2011 Report Share Posted August 16, 2011 Hi mate you say the torsion bar on the front what happens about the back does it not lift the back??? he adjusted the front as it was easy, was thinking would have to make a spring spacer for the rear as longer springs were hard got. it stayed perfectly level so left it at that. hes after buying another one now and hes putting 4 an half inch spacers in this one Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jacksdad Posted August 17, 2011 Report Share Posted August 17, 2011 (edited) If you want to fit big tyres then you will need a body lift, as well as a suspension lift I did my Frontera by tightening up the torsion bars on the front, and making extended leaf spring shackles for the rear. Now got a Trooper and will do same at the front, then fit (coil)spring spacer blocks at the rear. The body on both these is mounted on 10 rubber spacer blocks, to raise it you fit an extra steel or nylon bush under the standard ones and use longer bolts, I reckon the pajero will be much the same?
