silpig5
no thanks jay , ive seen some of the churchill logo'd bunch shoot . im sure they think its cool and smart , but although there shooting is on target i.e. they hit em , there practice is far from cool n smart in my eyes . glad i dont shoot game with them as our syndicate would have run them off the field . saying that , im sure in there own circuit it is proberbly safe to leave teal till 2 ft off the ground and shoot blindly into woods , or leave a crosser sooo long that your shot goes over the neibouring stands boundries rattling a car park, and im sure their cages are there for a purpose and they dont disrgaurd them . nothing personal jay , but there is always the odd few that paints a dismall picture . its proberbly just me , but when you have groups of people close together at a clay shoot , i just like things done by the book to minimize a accident . dont get me wrong , im not a hse freak or tree hugger , and we all get complasant , im often guilty of being pee'd off at targets and calling pull as im loading , just to make it a snap shot , but there are limits when around others . sorry to moan , just my opinion adi Edited August 24, 2011 by silpig5

fat_jay
Maybe I should have started a "who's not going" thread lol I have only been a couple of times luckily I was given the heads up that it was quieter later in the morning, so thankfully I haven't had the same experiences as you fellas! Any suggestions for somewhere else to shoot Sunday?

stevo_m
Nothing this weekend unfortunately They are doing a charity shoot up near Kings Lynn. Posted on another thread. I've shot the Churchills shoot a number of times, and never noticed any issues with safety. They put on some good stands from what I've shot. I'm only 5mins away so it made sense for me to go there when I can. Alas this w/end i'm busy (unless the weather for model aircraft flying it too extreme!)
