  1. Actually the point wasn't aimed at you, I was agreeing with you. But it appears you've missed the irony of your own comment. "People like me"?? You don't have the faintest idea about me, fortunately for me......
  2. "i take it its the vets or bullet thread. there's some trolls on here." Yes there are, so let's not start the whole thing off again shall we??
  3. Thought about it but its peeing down so not a lot of point.
  4. That's harsh........true, but harsh
  5. So that's next season then.........
  6. I used the wiper motor out of a Suzuki SJ but only because i had several spares laying about, as well as bits of scrap metal, so you could say it cost me nothing. If you're fairly handy and can use a welder they're fairly easy to make but can be a bit time consuming.
  7. Knee deep? All ours is 1m high, shot up in the past 2 weeks.
  8. You haven't got all the bits you should have let alone any extras!!
  9. Not sure when the farrier's coming next but could save you some if you still want them.
  10. When you've finished fattening it up can you pop it back near my shoot around October time mate please......
  11. Yeah I tried it years ago, inherited an old book on it so I thought i'd give it a go on a squirrel. I like to think I'm pretty good with my hands and done lots of different crafts, but the end result could best be described as good at scaring the kids. Good luck!!
  12. Yep, i'm moulting.........
  13. Ah, you may notice a bit of difference on that front since the last time I saw you.
  14. Thanks for the views guys. So, 1 for FUDs, 1 for flocked shells, 1 for old shells & 1 for keeping the Flexicoys. I suppose what's most interesting is that out of 20,000 odd members only 4 people have a view on what must be the most important bit of kit to a pigeon shooter!!! Do they all work so well it makes no difference??
  15. Nice find!! I've had my Omega Speedmaster since 1988 and still like it as much now as when I bought it. Don't know if this helps, it's from the CAB website. The word 'usually' in the last sentence is a bit unhelpful. Lost goods If you find goods that appear to be lost, then you can keep the goods as long as:- •you did not find the goods dishonestly or while trespassing •you take care of the goods •you did not find the goods on your employers’ property •the goods are lost, and not uncollected or abandoned, stolen or treasure •you have taken reasonable steps to find the owner of the goods, for example, left them to be claimed at a police station for a reasonable length of time •the goods were found not attached to anything on premises or land where the occupier does not exercise much control, for example, an air terminal lounge, public part of a shop, or recreation ground. What happens to goods handed over to the police The usual police practice is that you can have the goods back and keep them if they are not claimed within six weeks (six months in Northern Ireland). However, the police may want more time if there are special circumstances and they want to investigate, for example, if they suspect the goods are stolen or think that the owner can be traced. Once the property has been returned to you by the police, the original owner cannot usually then claim the goods.
  16. there are a hell of a lot of things I don't like about the direction this country is going, but with the thickness of a fag paper between all the parties, the question "What the hell are we going to do about it apart from whinge?" springs to mind.....
  17. very nice mate, enjoy. Sad to say round here the fishing has been rubbish for years. I know i'll sound like a rose tinted spectacled old *** but 30 years ago you could be pretty much guaranteed a few nice cod off the beach and a double figure one every few trips, nowadays you're lucky to see one at all.
  18. You haven't modified the performance or anything else that should change your premium, if it does they're just taking the **** and you need to find a different insurer. I've modified 20+ Suzukis to various standards of modification and quite often, even very heavily modified trucks, are cheaper to insure than the standard one. Just ask first, if they load your premium (which they shouldn't for the mods you're talking about) have a shop round. That'll be Darren at KAP Suzuki, he's not a bad lad, not cheap mind.......
  19. Just notify them, it shouldn't make the slightest difference to your premium, unless you're 17 with 6 points of course.
  20. Because, I suspect, the alternative is a possible conviction and 24 hours community service and NO money back......
  21. I quite like the look of pro decoys, but they seem a bit pricey for what they are............... BTW I don't think humping 30 flexicoys a couple of times a week is going to do it
  22. JR1960

    Samurai Sword

Yes, MUCH more info please.....Interested, but you just have to be so careful nowadays
  23. As the title suggests, I've always been a fan of my Flexicoys and prefered them to anything else and had them for years. However I'm getting old, fat and knackered and I can do without lugging 30-40 Flexicoys around as they're bulky and weigh a ton. I've never been a great fan of shells, but I'll listen to anyone's suggestions. So anyone convince me there's anything better around that works and are easily transportable??
  24. Yep, turned up at the weekend to find the rape had gone from 3" to 3' in a week, so spent the day in the woods. Estate doesn't like shooting on drillings as "they're so deep the pigeons can't get them" even though they're all over them. Dead pigeon's a dead pigeon I thought, but there we are.
