sandspider
Hi all As above really. Does anyone make a steel shot (clay) cartridge with a fibre wad rather than plastic? I know that the plastic was is supposed to totally enclose the shot so it doesn't score your barrel and this may be harder with a fibre wad. But my main clay shoot only allows fibre wads, plus I prefer to use fibre anyway. Is it possible to buy steel shells with fibre wads? And if so, what? Thanks. poontang
Gamebore do a 24g 7.5 shot in a fibre wad. Though God knows why you'd want to use them
twitchynik
Look for FSC (Fibre Shot Cup) or PDP (Photo Degradable Plastic) wads
AlistairB
Look for FSC (Fibre Shot Cup) or PDP (Photo Degradable Plastic) wads twitchynik I've never been able to find out how long it takes one of these DP wads to degrade - do you know? Guest cookoff013
shoot organisers still wont accept photo degradable wads. they dont even know what that means. most say fibre only, which means "anything except fibre is unsuitable." takes about 5 months to degrade a wad. they are uv activated, so take longer in the winter time, than the blazing hot summer(like the one we just had)
