mick54dog
i went to visit friends over the bank holiday weekend, Dave and i planned an assault on the rabbit population, using air rifles, ferrets and lurcher and longnets and then a session of lamping to finish off with. day 1. on site at 05.30. stalked around woodlands and low ground warrens and shot 38 good rabbits between us. day 2. on site at 06.30 with nets, ferrets and lurcher, accomonied by Pat, headed for the high ground, to hit the warrens around the limestone pavements, again we killed 38 very good rabbits day 3. arrived on site at 17.30, stalked around for an hour and a half, and killed 20 rabbits between us. had a tea break for an hour or so, then went out lamping on the low meadows, managed another 76 good bunnies between us. all in all a great weekend away, with a very pleasing bag of 172 rabbits. enjoy the pictures..... Teal
Well done, seems early to be out with the ferrets, but from the look of things you were only getting adults which is no bad thing. I have to say I like the look of those open warrens!
