.222 cases

Recommended Posts

any one have some 222 cases around. i have been given some but their a mixture but at the same time i dont want so sound ungrateful. but it all helps me learn about reloading.

I have been loading my old PPU brass but it is all on its last legs now. i have a few bits of FC and WIN SUP.

I like to be able to recycle so willing to take any brass in 222, at lest i make a batch then.

thought i was ask before i go buy some PPU cases

thanks for looking

Phil.

But you need quantity, can't do 10 here, 10 there and expect accuracy.

If i can get 10 here and 10 there of the same then full length and trim then they will be fine.

I'm not a paper puncher, i shoot rabbit, fox so as long as they shoot with in and 1" then they are fine for what i need. Plus the .222 if one of the most forgiving rounds there is for reloading.

thanks for your input anyway.

still looking for any brass gents if possible PLEASE PLEASE

all the best

Phil.

why mess about mate when you can buy 100 new peices of brass for £28 http://www.midwayuk.com/apps/ebrowse.exe/browse?categoryid=7567&categorystring=9315+***+652+***+670+***+9013+***

if you use different makes of brass yoiu will get inconsistancies in your rounds IE different pressuers which can be dangerous, you are potentialy making a small bomb and holding it to the side of your face, dont take risks to save £28 just buy new, they will last you a long time

I shoot rabbit and fox too. Different brands of brass together have different zero points. Gotta be the same brand at least!

Im not going to argue with you all, i cant be doing it at the moment.

Im just trying to get some brass so i can shoot a little longer before i have to possibly give up all shooting stuff. if you wish to send me £28 then i will gladly take it and then still ask for some old 222 cases, because at this moment in time i havent even 28p. i have just over a 1/2 pot of benchmark left, 200 a-max and 100 v-max. so please do not have a go at me about rights and wrongs. Please.

Hey come on guys, give the guy a break!

So loading different makes of brass can cause an accuracy issue but I think the chap realises and accepts that!

All he has done is asked if anyone has any used .222 brass and you are jumping down his neck, surely that's not what PW is about?

On the other side of the coin, if you don't ask you don't get! Plenty of people just throw their brass away, especially those who shoot Prvi because it's cheap. Batch variations aren't enough to make a dangerous load if you're well within limits and it's a way of keeping going when you're desperate.

I recently gave away a load of 6.5 bullets to a member of this site. I didn't know him from Adam apart from on here but I'd got to know him here and he is a decent bloke. I gave away a full box of Speer TNT, a near full box of 140gr SP, a near full box of Barnes TSX, 100 FMJ's and some Nosler BT's. Total that up and it's worth easily over £100? Who cares, I didn't want them and he did.

Spend your life fussing about money and you'll die rich and sad. It feels good to help people out.

EDIT... Spot on Frenchie - my point exactly. :good:
