Air Ranger Magazine question

Evening folks.

Just a quick question to find out if anyone has had bother with the cocking action on their Ranger/Airwolf etc. I love my Ranger and its the best air rifle I have owned by quite a long way apart from one very disappointing thing......really horrible to cock :-( just plain stiff to use and when I push the bolt home it is done with enough weight to move the gun on a bi-pod. I always thought this was normal and the gun could not be compared to another like an hw100 because of the design BUT.... tonight for some reason I put a pellet in manually (cant find single shot tray) and it was smooth and light and a complete joy :-)

Upon further inspection it looks like the mag is at fault, when I had a close look the entrance to the pellet chamber,it is not flush with the rotating alloy centre (hard to describe) so the plunger o'ring and plunger are snagging on their way through.

I was just wondering if anyone else out there has a stiff action (the gun) or has heard of any complaints.

Thanks

Yes mate, mines the same, however when i use different pellets, ( domed heads apposed to rws hollows) it cycles alot smoother, with the rws i have to pull the bolt back a bit again after i cocked it then push it fowards again to get it to load almost everytime. Its alot bettter with the round heads. I find my mags are like that too, i have two but cant tell you if both are the same, i just presumed that was how it was supposed to be
