The 6.5 saga continues,I found my local gunshop had a wildcat 250 at the bargain price of £220.

They could get it fitted for me and the deal was done. The mod was bored to fit and the barrel was threaded and there is where it goes west :P

As it is a heavy barrelled rifle the mod wouldn`t go on and the baffles couldn`t fit and couldn`t be bored out to fit :P

No problems says my man in the gunshop,we`ll get in touch with wildcat and get something sorted. He phoned daily and left messages E-mails etc. I can`t remember when I put it in,but it must be 4-6 weeks :P

Finally Mrs.Hd takes a call from the Gunshop and leaves a note, they`ve phoned about the SCOPE :P Please phone tomorrow before 11am.

I was sure there would be tears before bedtime........what had they done to my lovely Meopta?

Mrs.Hd tells me,just in from pub,"He says it`s OK they`ve got a new lightweight one for me!"

I just phoned and they`ve managed to sort out the mod and it`s a LIGHTWEIGHT one, what about the scope I said, choking back the tears,nowt-nada-niente...........She got it wrong it wasn`t the scope it was the mod all the time :good:

So next week we will have the ceremonial unveiling and zeroing, followed by a spot of stalking :P

I'm a bit confused by the fact the baffles need modifying :P ..................Is it the expansion chamber behind the baffles that won't slip over the heavy barrel ?

Now you should 've took that scope off ...............Consider yourself reprimanded you naughtey boy :P
