Rooke87
How hard is it to buy a decent pcp for hunting! I'm having no luck at all lol! Endless PM's to people and texts, emails but so far no good or no reply! Does any one have any for sale lol! Let me know! About £300 limit! Was looking at falcon fn19 as you can get the whole kit for under that price Inc bottle or pump! Grrrrrrrrrr!
secretagentmole
If you have a bit more cash I know of an Ultra, in .177, 2 scopes, silencer, 232 bar cylinder, bag, the whole load, gun still in BSA guarantee I think, in as new condition (one scope is collectible and could be sold on). £400 cambs area, if interested, pm me! Ghostrider1979
Alrite mate, I up until recently had the same decision to make and was looking for a pcp. I looked at BSA ultra, hatsan at-44, brocock concept, benjamin discovery, BSA scorpion all around your price range keeping in mind I already could borrow a pcp pump from a mate of mine. Well there all great rifles but you realise by the time you buy a scope, pellets, rifle bag you go over budget. I managed to pick up a second hand brocock Contour with silencer and hawke hd scope for a nice tidy price of £350. It's very light, accurate and above all kicking out on the chrono 11.6lbs using Bisley magnums. I have shot alot since owning it just over a month including full size bunnys and woodys at 40 yards. I would always suggest buying new or if you can't afford it buy second hand but from a gun shop or gun club. No disrespect guys but at least you know it's power and alittle more info about what your buying (a few yrs back I bought a springer off some guy out of the free ads and when I got it on the chrono it was pumping out a whopping 17.9lbs) taking me well over the legal limit and into FAC territorial)
Dekers
There are masses of guns out there and whether it be a dealer or private sale there are deals to be had, it is a buyers market. I'm not sure what parameters you have set or what your definition of a decent PCP for hunting is, it needs to be reliable and accurate. Falcons are accurate, Theoben gives you masses of shots per charge, AA give you a good package, Weihrauch are heavy and expensive, Daystate have nice wood and keys (for some reason best known to them), BSA have lost the plot and would be out of business without Gamo, etc etc etc... secretagentmole
BSA have not lost the plot my friend, just take a look at the new Scorpion SE, very very tasty, the wife has one and it is a superb rifle!

I guess you haven't heard, even though it goes back many years now... take a look on Gamos website ........... Dynamax is the clue! Gamo market some of their guns under the BSA name! Putting it bluntly, BSA lives on in name only! ATB! Edited September 8, 2011 by Dekers
blasterjudd
Pay peanuts u get monkeys matey!! You will get a secondhand pcp gun of fair condition but you still may need a charger which will be a third of your gun budget again at least ? Also a decent scope so save your cash you need at least £450 to get started or alternatively buy a springer?
Rooke87
I've got a springer ATM, I've found the right deal so just waiting to sort! Thanks guys

The Gamo Dynamax is a case of reverse engineering, this is the Spanish gun that is made in Birmingham! Gamo do not make PCP rifles, these are done by BSA!
