leeds chimp
wish I bloody did not bother!!!!! Went to the same field as yesterday...bloke already set up on one field that I was half thinking about but no idea who he was but said hello and he had a few...so watched for a bit and set up futher down where i was yesterday nearer the telegraph poles as looked a better flightline and the wind was not as bad...not a hint in 90 mintues Fighting the wind with my hide so spat dummy out and went for a drive...bumped into the gamekeeper and had a good chat and drive with him, then saw the farmer and again had a good chat...so set up on the other fields where I stopped yesterday...as I went into the field about 20-30 pigeons rose up and went...so I though this is gonna be good. Set up and all sorted then hide started to play up..tried to sort it but no luck in 2 hours at all...saw 6 birds in the time so proper spat dummy out and came home...really ****** off and fed up to be blunt.

Clamps
I sympathise Leeds - I have had a few days round here like that. I think they have so many fields round Norfolk to feed on, you have to be in the right place at the right time.

I had the "choice" of 8 fields to go out..a mixture if stubble to winter oil seed rape coming up....and hardly a sniff on any of them while I was watching

shoughton
It's the **** days that make the good days even better! My days on the stubble this year haven't been good whatsoever compared to last year. I keep a diary and was comparing - same wind directions and similar temps - but far less birds! But reading diaries of previous years inspires me that good days will repeat themselves! The way I (try to) look at it is that if you have a **** day on the pigeons then it just increases the probability that your next day out will be a good one! I had a great day on Monday, 62, and off out today I can predict it won't be any good....but you never know.
