adam f
I had a misfire in my CZ455 17hmr last night, couldn't cycle another round afterwards and on inspection saw that I had ejected the case but the bullet remains stuck about 2" in the chamber. Any tips on how to remove this?
AnthonyR
Knock it out with a cleaning rod from the muzzle end.
adam f
Only have a bore snake so I guess I need to find a rod to use?
njc110381
A boresnake is useless for a real clean on a HMR. Invest in a one piece rod, bronze brush and a jag at least! It shouldn't cost much and in the long term you'll need it anyway.
Harnser
Yes ,knock it out from the muzzle end with a cleaning rod and then make sure you give the barrel a real good rodding with a bronze brush . Harnser .

So just take the next round and pull the bullet out(with pliers or leatherman type tool), chamber cartrige without bullet and fire the bullet stuck in the lands out. Then carry on with your shooting. Oh my god , thats about the worse piece of advice I have ever seen on here . Do this ,and you have a real chance of blowing up your gun . There will be to much room in the barrel between the bullet and the case which will allow for the possibility of detonation . DONT DO IT . Knock it out with a rod .Also the bullet stuck in the barrel is an obstruction . I am surprised nobody else was aware of this one . Harnser .
