  1. Happened to me several times. Never got a rod in the field. So just take the next round and pull the bullet out(with pliers or leatherman type tool), chamber cartrige without bullet and fire the bullet stuck in the lands out. Then carry on with your shooting.
  2. Did this and my old dentist who I had to leave as they no longer handle NHS patiets, came up as an option! As a side, while I was abroad I broke a tooth and was in a lot of discomfort. Went to a local dentist and had it ground down, refillied and sorted good as new. Paid cash and went home happy! Total bill was about £28.00
  3. I think you are quite right about it all All just marketing to make us feel warm and fuzzy. My personal favourite is the clearing of rain forest to grow food to make bio fuel for my car, while a large part of the world population goes to bed hungry. At least my car has reduced emissions
  4. They're not that bad! It's only the injectors that give up all the time EPIC FAIL!!! How many people do you know who got legionaires from their washer bottle?
  5. The vehicle was bought in the summer and came summer ready. My Transit was exactly the same. Why spray a solvent based liquid(ethanol/meths) all over a brand new vehicle for no reason? All it does is attack the wax based rust proofing and all the rubbers.
  6. I would suggest you use the search facility, and don't post your final decision. This has been done to death and has all the ingredients of a thread heading to be locked. If you were anyone else the troll meter would be in the red by now. Another argument between vermin shooters and wild fowler on the way?
  7. The third Lama is missing in the final scene were they are walking off Camera man holding it with carcass loaded

    Scammed

I've had a fair few transactions on here. The last one, I had the goods before I sent payment I like to think it brings out the best in people, and find it encouraging that there are still people about who can be trusted. People who abuse this trust should be dealt with severely IMO. Hope my luck doesn't run out....
  9. +2 The wife and I brought it up to 2053.
  10. +1 Pull the head throw the powder to the wind, bin the rest. Job jobbed. It realy isn't such a big deal Why go polluting rivers and farm lands? I used to make 50ft flares with 7.62 tracer rounds(a lot of them). Never had an incident I must just be the lucky one who never got killed
  11. Yes If it fails the test it will be destroyed and you will have nothing to show for your money. Buy one that is in test and SAFE! 7lt is quite small, but depending on how much you shoot and how close the nearest dive shop is for refilling it will do fine.
  12. Enjoy I'll be in 'Maritzburg shooting pigs! Then on to Zululand, Glen Garry (Nottingham) and then waterfowl in Matatiele
  13. As good as BASC is, I don't think they will be able to help. Getting the guns into the UK is the easy bit. The hardest part is the paperwork in SA. As all firearms have individual licenses, you will be dealing with two sets of paperwork for a pair. The export permit system in SA is a nightmare and can take months(unless you go personally to Pretoria with the paperwork and "something nice for the lady"). After that the original license must be cancelled.(months again) Easiest is to sign them over to a RFD. (Kings and Suburban Guns are/were agents for Holts) Then cancel the licenses at a local police station. Wait a long time till they arrive in the UK. Pay the money and put them on your SGC I would consider bringing the wood, cases, oil bottles etc over separately, as luggage on a trip out.
  14. Hi, I brought in a Beretta from Durban useing Holts auctioneers, and it took two years! They imported a lot of weapons that were headed for destruction, so had to wait for a full consignment before shiping. I also left behind a heap of other firearms for destruction, as the paperwork was killer. I think about a 20 page document for each one.(Still have a copy about some where) A pair of H&H shotguns well worth the effort. Gun went from Kings in Durban to Suburban guns in Cape town, then to norfolk and then RFD to me. PM me if you need any more info. But be quick, I'm away shortly for a month long Safari/holiday

    Rant

Living in Delhi He should always have a good stock of them.
  16. A lot of the ASU's are registered charities and have websites full of pic's. And people who present them with large donations have their pic's taken with the crew etc. They are all only google search away. The one's they don't want you to photograph are a bit more discrete.
  17. I've had a few were they don't even bother, just get a card in the post box to collect. Reason - too big to deliver! Why would they accept it as a parcell if it was too big to deliver? Seems they are on some sort of work to rule around here. The OP should just wait it out a bit, or go to the local sorting office and make enquiries.
  18. This all makes sense. The bold bit makes me laugh, as all the African guys buy ammo here as they can't buy it there. All the traditional big game calibers(416 rigby,500ne etc)use ammo produced by Kynock. This bloke was probobaly getting screwed on ammo produced down the road from him.
  19. Out shooting with Lez
  20. Hi, I've got a small bowman and a sit on bowman with a double arm you could borrow. Will PM you.
