RoBBo
yesterday i was shooting my new gamo cfx now ive pinpointed the scope shooting pegs from 30 yards when i place a pellet in the barrel the wrong way round by accident and i just could not get it back out so i had to shoot it with tha pellet the wrong way round , will this have damaged the gun in anyway ? it was shooting a little weird after it for a while it sounded differant as if it was'nt even shooting the pellet , seems ok now though will she be ok ? lol
kwiky
i have actually done it on purpose a few times, using accupel on rats, if you put them back to front they still accurate to 20 yards and do devastating damage when they hit, i got this tip from airgunner mag years ago. ive never had a gun get damaged by doing this so i reckon as you've only done it once you'll definatly be ok

I think it can damnage your gun. In manuals aand instruction books they always say not to or it will void your warrenty i think, so it is not advised! roblade
cant say as i have ever heard of an assboutface pellet ever doing any damage to a rifle, spring or pcp. As has been mentioned above they are a good rat pellet for close range ratting. dont worry about it ROB
king ratcatcher
it shouldnt damage your gun at all, i spose its just similar to putting tight fiting pellet in, dont wrry about it m8
Flyer
It sems to me that when those nice pellet designer men have spent loads of time working out the best shape for their pellets, and we've spent probably MORE time trying to find the sweet one that works best in our own gun, then it rather defeats the object to start bunging 'em in the wrong road round - accidentally or not? Surely a pellet skirt is supposed to spread out when hit by a puff off air, engage with the rifling, and make a better seal - all with aim of maximising accuracy & consistency? Conversely, if the force of the blast hits the pellet from the nose of the pellet (as it would it you put it in back to front), then the opposite would happen- the air would tend to bleed round the skirt in an unpredictable way giving poor consistency. I suppose the logical way is to run a comparitive test - 10 rounds right way round versus 10 the wrong way round. Even better, whack em out over a chrono and measure the difference. I'd be willing to bet the very least you'd get would be a lower point of impact, with probably a wider group thrown in as an (un)bonus!
