Frenchieboy
I was expecting to go out on a bit of a cull last Tuesday but this was cancelled due to the terribly wet weather we have been having recently. The weather changed for the better today and we were able to get out to do the job. There were only 3 to be culled out from a small captive herd but they were not easy due to the lay of the land and having to carefully choose the right time for each shot to ensure total safety! I took 2 of them (Pictured) from on the top of the cab of a large digger that was "parked" in the field. They are not anything special compared to what many "stalkers" get and were not what I would call "testing" or difficult shots and they were not even stalked as such, but they all count towards my experience. It really was a waiting game taking a lot of time and patience for them to get into a good shooting position where they could be "picked out" without putting any other members of the herd in danger as they all wanted to stay in a tight group. Anyway, it worked out fine and both were accounted for with perfectly clean head shots - 2 shots 2 kills so right now I am a happy man! Now all I want is a Munty, a CWD and a Sika to make my collection complete. I'm sure that they will come in time!
