docholiday
This little chap landed on the reeds whilst I was taking a shot of a curlew. took hundreds of shots to get these as the wind was blowing him all over the place, most shots just had a tail or a head as he waved about, if not there was another bit of reed across his face  Anyway it was worth it I think

Bazooka Joe
Hi Doc, were you in a bird sanctuary (RSPB) ? Wondered if there's a ringing program on the go, since that bird has one on ?

Fisherman Mike
Sorry mate your wrong its a young Male Reed Bunting  I think he may be right infact Looks like a female to me...This years juveniles would be well into or past the first moult by now. Also looks like a BTO ring and will have been ringed locally as they are resident birds generally and dont travel too far. Will often join other finches, and yellow hammers, corn buntings in the winter fields. Great Photo.
