depends on what chambers the guns have, also depends on what choke the gun has ??

Take off the forend and on the barrels there should be a length in mm something like 70, or inches but a european gun will most likely be in mm, which will indicate the length of cartridges useable and the proof marks indicate the pressure allowable which you will have to confirm from the web, this information is ussualy on the reciever as well. You can use any cartridges that are shorter than is quoted on your gun (but make sure they are shorter once fired and not just before) and produces pressure lower than what your gun is proofed at, all this information should be on the cartridge box and ussually on the cartridge itself as well.

If you have any doubts it could be a good idea to take your gun with you when you go to buy cartridges, and ask as it is better to b e safe than sorry.

I am sure someone else wil be able to give a better answer shortly.

Fibre wad in any Hushpower is safest , if you use plastic then check the barrel between shots . Subsonic loads are mainly fibre anyhoo . My Pedretti is 2 3/4 in chamber so guess yours is too .

Thanks Vole, yes, ive just checked mine and its a 2 3/4 chamber, i have bought some Eley Hushpower 32g 6's fibre wads.

Just need to work out what the 18.4 means i know that its pressure but in what value i dont know.

What loads do you use in yours.

Thanks for your help

stick to any cart in 32gram 6 shot and you cant go far rong non-toxic for wildfowl and you will be fine

its best not to get too hung up on what to use! i know people who use diffrent shells for diffrent barrles  its too much

Thank you for the advice, that is what i am using in my Lamber, i just want to know as much as i can about my chosen Guns, we have some Fox at my yard and want to know what is my maximum load.

Because of the moderator I used to be a bit iffy about using slightly more potent loads through my Pedretti , strangely .It will handle any 2 3/4 in cartridges at all and I have put a few 38 gr BB through mine now . Just mind the plastic wads and shoot whatever you like as long as it is not more than 2 3/4 . They are the Italian Baikal .

It's ok to convert cartridge length from inches to mm but be careful with proof pressures. If I remember correctly, the imperial and metric pressures are measured in a different way so you can't just directly convert from one to the other.
