AA S410 problem

I've got quite an old model Air Arms S410 with a 10 shot mag. Havent used the rifle for sometime and now has a problem with the cocking mech which turns the magazine to the next pellet.

Now I have no exerience in pulling guns apart, so would this be an expensive fix to take it to a local gun shop?

Also as Ive not used to gun for well over a year, is it worth having it serviced with fresh gas before I go into the woods?

Thanks alot,

Dave

Agreed, the spring can snap, usually when using though: it can get stuck in place when not used, so might need easing back up to the correct height, have a new one ready though!

You only need to remove the side plate to gain access to the indexing mech, check and give it a light lube whilst its apart :good:

Why? its an easy fix, and how much are the springs, about a tenner? My S310 is still going strong, I've tweaked the spring a couple of times but other than that its been indexing away for years!

The whole gun is easy to strip/rebuild and maintain, so should last for many years more :D
