B.Mcflurry
Hi all, I have been following this forum for some time now and this is my first post so please be gentle ! My partner and I took up clay shooting several months ago and a couple of weeks ago I treated her to a new Beretta silver pigeon 12g. It's since had a couple hundred carts through it, but has developed an ejector problem on the bottom barrel. Basically every time you break the gun the ejector releases as if you have pulled the trigger. I have tried it without the fore end on to make sure it's not just sticking in the mono block and it's fine. Am I missing something ? Or does the fore end need adjusting ? I don't want to look an idiot when I take it back to the RFD. Thanks in advance ! .
HDAV
So it ejects the bottom cart even if unfired? Which barrel do you fire first?
B.Mcflurry
Thanks for the speedy reply. Yes even if unfired. Normally shoot bottom first.
HDAV
Try moving the selector and trying again with snap caps if you can
B.Mcflurry
Just tried it again but still the same. I have also checked the pins that run along the bottom of the action (excuse the lack of terminology) and they are both in the same state ie locked forward when fired and allowed to be pushed back when not. rimfire4969
Take it back to the dealer, it's faulty (I don't know why) its down to them to fix it. Don't worry about looking stupid, it's something I have down to a fine art.
dan-250
If it's new you get 10 year guarantee with Berreta dont you? Any problems I'd take it straight back if it's been tampered with might make the warranty void. I don't no as I'm not there yet. But I'm after a 686 28 barrels or a silver pigeon again 28" for when my cert comes through. Isn't beretta customer service one of the best around ? B.Mcflurry
It is only a couple of weeks old and fired about 200 carts, therefore under the warranty. It will be going back but just wanted to make sure it's nothing simple. Cheers all.
HDAV
Isn't beretta customer service one of the best around ? Beretta might be but in the UK you deal with your dealer (UK consumer law) and they deal with GMK (the UK importer, if a channel import rather than grey)
