Cake444
Is it illegal or illegitimate to fit a side saddle to a shotgun? Just wondering if its frowned apron.
Scully
I'm sorry, but don't really understand the question. Are you wanting to fit a gunslip to your saddle for when out riding? If so,then I can't see why it should be illegal. It is quite legal to carry a sleeved gun in public for legitimate reasons, and that's what you'd be doing even if that slip was attached to a saddle.Whether you can actually discharge a gun while mounted on a horse is something I'm not sure about.I can't see why it should be a problem, but in this country, who knows?Someone will. Or am I missing something? Is 'side-saddle' a euphemism? Edited November 11, 2011 by Scully

It mounts on the side of the gun. http://www.pbase.com/brettwp/image/132470938.jpg It doesn’t look very PC so I was wondering if they were frowned upon. Beardo
you'd get funny looks at a driven day , but you're perfectly entitled to use them should you wish
Gordon R
Legal, but just a bit pointless.
Cake444
Ah great, well that puts my mind at rest. It’s a rough gun and a rabbit gun so nobody sees the thing really. They quite good actually, helped me bag an extra bunny the other night as I quickly popped another cartridge in from the saddle. I appreciate that there not everybody’s cup of tea though.
