ack-ack
You would pick up shimano airlex or even the old original biomasters for the right price, I still use gt biomasters on me pike rods Biomasters are the nuts. I'm not into egg beaters but my old fella has fished a pair since the early 90's and they still look brand new. Very good bits of kit
Dr_evil
Abu or Daiwa, the only company for reels really Make sure they're the old ones though I use an Ambassadeur Big Water series 7000c (original one) and a smaller one that I forget the name of
Beretta28g
Matt, F/S are OK, You used my Biomaster 7000 last week, i also have a Shakespeare F/S that although reasonable has started to corrode after 1 season on the beach. Why dont you get some bike inner tube(if you need any let us know) if youre really hitting them, and learn to control your thumb and use a multiplier? I find that Daiwa 7HTs are brilliant. colin lad
A reply pinched from a well known sea fishing forum on the question "how good is the penn surfmaster ". How good? RUBBISH!! Price? Too much even if it was free. Or they offered you money to have one. __________________ I rest my case avoid like the plauge i got 3 surfmasters 2 of them are the old 750's both 8 years old and not had a thing go wrong with them maybe i just got lucky and got 2 good uns, the other is a new model 850 not so keen on that though colin
