mattslaptop247
Just picked up an investarms 12g o/u single trigger for £120. Needed a little work on the stock so I have stripped it and am in the process of giving it an oil finish. However I was wondering if it will take steel shot. It is the model with milled grooves cut in to the action and a schnabel forend. It is magnum chambered and has "hard chrome" lined barrels. There is no fleur de lis mark that I can see. What do you guys think?

retromlc
isn't choke more important?if it's tighter than 3/4 then probably NO regardless
coneyhunter
The tightness of the choke applies to guns that are steel proof ( nothing more than half, with the exception of some Fabarm shotguns) if you don't see the fluer de lays symbol or written in plain English "proofed for steel" then don't risk it, steel shells produce far more pressure per square inch than lead.
